1727 Prussian Pistol

The 1727 Prussian Potsdam Pistol was the first of several successive models that were slight variations on this same design. They continued in production until just before the turn of the nineteenth century and saw service in several major European conflicts as well as with Hessian troops fighting in the Americas during the Revolutionary War.

This massive pistol features an extra long 15 inch barrel with blade style front sight. The early banana shaped lock has no pan bridle and a uniquely Prussian flat-nosed cock. It handles well for such a large piece.
