If ordering a single item, the shipping cost will be as it appears in the product’s description and in the online shopping cart.
Orders for multiple items will have shipping combined in order to reduce shipping costs and any overage in payment refunded. At this time, our shopping cart cannot accurately calculate shipping for multiple items - especially large or long items like muskets - so your shipping charges will appear greater at checkout than they actually will be once the order is combined and the excess refunded.
For example: If ordered together, a musket + bayonet + sling would be charged a total shipping cost of $84.00 at checkout. Because we can ship the bayonet and sling in the same box as the musket, the order would be combined and $24.00 refunded, making the total shipping cost only $60.00.
Flat rate shipping for weapons applies to all locations in the continental USA as follows:
- Musket - $60.00
- Carbine - $50.00
- Pistol - $30.00
If you would like a specific shipping quote prior to placing your order, you may contact us using the form located on this website and submit a list of desired items. We will review the list and e-mail a precise shipping quote.
Orders can be placed through our website via Credit Card. Customers wishing to place orders via Check or Money Order should contact us in order to receive an order total and mailing address. Payments can be made payable to: Veteran Arms LLC. Items ordered via mail will be held in anticipation of payment for 10 days. After that time the merchandise will be returned to our regular stock. We do not accept PayPal for weapons orders. For international customers, please see our International Ordering section.
Purchasers of historical muzzleloaders and other weapons must be 18 years of age. By placing an order with Veteran Arms LLC one certifies that one is of legal age and is not otherwise prohibited from purchasing or possessing the piece. Veteran Arms reserves the right to verify age or refuse sale to persons unable to satisfy the age requirement.
In most cases, muzzleloading muskets and pistols that are reproductions of pieces manufactured before 1898 may be shipped directly to the purchaser with no need to have the transfer handled by an FFL. A handful of other states and cities have additional requirements.
These include, but are not limited to: New Jersey, Hawaii, Washington DC, Illinois, NYC, and others. We can still ship to these locations, but may require additional information or need to ship the piece to your local FFL for final transfer to the customer. Feel free to contact us with any specific questions. Of course, we cannot keep track of all changes to law in all states, and it is the customer’s responsibility to know and understand laws related to their state of residence.
Georgia residents must pay sales tax in addition to the cost of their purchase. Items shipped to addresses outside of Georgia are not subject to sales tax collection. Out-of-state purchasers may, however, be liable for payment of use tax in their home state. By placing an order, all purchasers agree to be bound by Veteran Arms LLC’s Terms & Conditions of sale. (See Terms & Conditions.)
Orders are typically processed with 1-3 business days of purchase. As Veteran Arms’ staff frequently travels to attend historical events, film productions, and museum exhibitions, there may be times when order processing may be delayed. An effort will be made to inform customers via automated message in those instances. In the case that a non-weapons item is out of stock, a representative will notify you of the status and either cancel the order or offer options related to fulfillment.
*NOTE: Recent disruptions caused by COVID as well as by worldwide shipping/logistics/labor interruptions could mean that some merchandise marked in-stock is actually sold out. In that case, you will be promptly notified by one of our representatives.
All muskets and pistols undergo finishing here in our shop in the USA upon order. This finishing process generally takes an estimated 4-12 weeks. Some orders can take longer depending upon availability and other factors. Placing an order for a musket or pistol, unless otherwise agreed in advance or where the item is stated to be “ready-to-ship,” implies agreement to the above timeframe or whatever timeframe might be specially outlined on the purchase page at the time of order.
All weapons orders for in-stock items must be paid in full at the time of order. After initial order, the customer shall have two days to cancel the order. Because each piece is built to order, no orders shall be cancelled or refunds given after two days as those orders may have already begun prep or been used to make purchasing decisions from our suppliers.
All merchandise (weapons and non-weapons) come with a 10 Day Money Back Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply return it in as-new, un-fired, un-modified condition within 10 days for a full refund of your purchase price. All you pay is the shipping.
Non-weapons merchandise that is in-stock will be packed and shipped as soon as is practicable. Veteran Arms LLC ships merchandise twice weekly. Orders placed between these shipping days will be packed and await drop off on the next shipping day. Most non-weapons merchandise is shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS ground. Expedited services are sometimes available upon request at an extra cost. In most cases, a tracking number is provided automatically by our order fulfillment system.
*Note: In order to keep prices low, some merchandise listed on our website is drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. The normal processing time for these items is generally within 1-4 days, with shipment to follow via USPS Priority or UPS Ground. A delay of 1-3 days longer than for regular in-stock merchandise is normal. Tracking may or may not be available for drop ship items.
